Master class "Art in jeans" by Olga Chistyakova
19 April 2019

Another master class in the Pop Up Museum “Art in Dzhisnovka” by Olga Chistyakova, which breathed newness and art into our usual things and turned the gizmos of the masses of the market into unique works of art :)

And the fascinating lecture “The Style of the 90s” by Vasily Vasily Bykov conquered everyone and made us think about how to make our planet cleaner during the over-production over-running crisis.

In the end, let's say let's say the art-recyclig action! Why this little step is so important - read below.

You sure know that the last 5 years, Burberry has been burning unsold clothes, shoes and accessories for an average of $ 40 million. Environmental activists immediately condemned the British fashion house, saying that in the world of high fashion - the destruction of unrealized products has long been commonplace. Activist and fashion expert Oreola de Castro said in an interview with the BBC that this is the “dirtiest secret” of the fashion world.

Clothing manufacturers pollute the environment right in front of our nose, and we don’t even know about it either in our dreams or in our spirit. Since the “fast fashion” continues to gain popularity in the consumer market, the number of items produced exceeds 100 billion pieces per year. Judging by these data, an environmental catastrophe due to overproduction is almost inevitable.

The BBC also notes that the problem of disposing of unsold clothing is not the only one - according to a World Wide Fund for Nature report for 2013, it takes about 2,700 liters of water to produce one T-shirt. And to top it off, these unfortunate statistics — only 1% of our clothing is recycled.

But in 2017, the organization Global Fashion Agenda came up with an agreement, which has already been accepted by more than 90 major brands, according to which brands must comply with the conditions for environmentally friendly production and processing of clothing. Nike, Adidas and Tommy Hilfiger are among the participating brands. But this is not enough, if we want to keep nature clean, then it is better to think once more, and is this new new blouse so necessary, and from what and how is it made? And try to reduce overproduction by reducing consumption.

Follow our posts - in the near future we will recruit a group again! Thanks to everyone who came !!
