Nikolskaya Gallery presents the first solo exhibition, the opening of which will take place on the territory of the Moscow School of Management in the Spa Althaus - Floral Myth. Victoria Aksenova is a popular contemporary artist whose paintings are distinguished by freshness, ease of perception and positive energy. In particular, the context of this exhibition is directly connected with energy: the project explores the mysterious influence of flora on humans and its subtle connection with it.
Since ancient times, people endowed plants with different magical properties and lined up whole myths around them, linking the appearance of flowers with the power of supernatural forces. Beautiful legends about flowers became a part of culture for many centuries, giving each of them their own symbolism. Can we intuitively associate the symbolic meaning of a plant (for example, a rose is a flower of love, victory; a hyacinth is a flower of sorrow, etc.) with the energy that they radiate? Every living organism has its own energy field, so that we can reasonably allow ourselves to reflect on this issue.
To date, biologists have confirmed the effect of various flowers and plants on a person’s mood and mental state. Even a simple observation of one or another representative of the flora has its effect. Some plants are able to neutralize migraine and headache, soothe the psyche, reduce the aggressive state. Victoria Aksenova explores myths and real facts related to the interaction of flora and humans. Through the pictorial image, using the technique of mixing figurativeness and abstraction, the author immerses the viewer in a unique combination of the energy of plants and art.
The FLORAL MYTH project is an opportunity for the viewer to experience the experience of the penetration of energy of color and shape into the subconscious by means of recognizable symbols - colors. An experimental site has been selected for this exposition: spa. As conceived by the artist, the natural relaxation caused by the energy of the plants, even through the prism of colors on the canvas, should increase the impact on the viewer thanks to the space that is equipped for relaxation with artificial - created by human hands.
Victoria Aksenova was born in Volgograd. In 1983, she graduated from the Volgograd University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and continued her studies at the St. Petersburg Art and Industry Academy named after A.L. Stieglitz. Since 1998, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia with a specialization in Painting and the International Association of Fine Arts - UNESCO AIAP. Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (TSHR) Permanent participant of city, regional and international exhibitions, student of the LAGUNA competition in Venice (2012). In 2012 he was awarded the title of laureate of the State Prize of the Volgograd region in the field of literature, art, architecture and cultural and educational activities. Aksenova's works are in collections of regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
