About exhibition:

February 15, 2019 POP UP MUSEUM of contemporary Russian art and NIKOLSKAYA GALLERY with the support of STONE HEDGE, NEO GEO, SCI-ONE open a personal exhibition of Maria Dreznina “Crimea” Maria Grigorievna Dreznina - artist, teacher, art-therapist of the department of aesthetic education of children and youth of the State Museum of Fine Arts named after AS Pushkin. In 1978 she graduated from the State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov, workshop of theatrical decorative painting under the guidance of M.M. Kurilko-Ryumin.

The exhibition of Dreznina includes 30 works related to the Crimean series. Travel artist on the coast Gurzuf captured in soft watercolor shades, creating the effect of detachment of observation. The spectator as if plunges into a certain dream, thanks to the impressionistic technique of pictorial performance. Through the warm summer landscapes, twilight and night landscapes, we comprehend the diverse and magical world of the Crimean flora. Pastel colors convey the subjective impressions of the author of the works: gentle, calm, immersed in dreamy bliss. The works are dominated by shades of pink, purple - traditionally, these colors are considered a symbol of the otherworldly, higher world; blue, green, azure colors perfectly convey the atmosphere of the charming seaside city.

The nature of Gurzuf is truly inspiring, because it is located in one of the most picturesque places in the Crimea. Together with the author, the viewer takes a walk among exotic plants - cypresses, oleander, magnolia, Lankaran acacia, fan palm in parks and on the coast. Located between the Bear Mountain (Ayu-Dag) and the twin coastal cliffs of Adalar, resembling bizarre fabulous castles from a distance, Gurzuf is the abode of beauty and tranquility.


Developing the field of children's education, since 1988 Dreznina has been conducting fine arts classes with children in the Artek pioneer camp. In parallel, a separate series of paintings in the parks of Artek was created.
 
Since 1982, Maria Dreznina - a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. He works as a painter and theater artist, author of exhibition projects and social and art events for children and parents. Engaged in the design of women's jewelry. Participant of exhibitions in Russia and abroad. Works MG Dreznina are in private collections in Russia, Austria, Belgium, Israel, Germany, USA.

The opening of the exhibition will take place at 6 pm, February 15, 2019.
The period of the exhibition is from February 15 to March 15, 2019.

Visitor registration for the opening of the Crimea exhibition will be held tentatively by phone: +7 985 774 29 36. For the rest of the days, the exhibition will be open to the public from 12.00 to 20.00. Closed on Monday.
