Artistic Vision
Ankaa’s art conveys a powerful emotional charge through bold colors and dynamic forms, fostering a profound connection between the artwork and the viewer. The artist frequently incorporates neon elements into installations, symbolizing life cycles and transitions. These glowing compositions infuse spaces with energetic flows, reminiscent of shamanic dances.
Creative Techniques
Collage plays a central role in Ankaa’s work, featuring elements from comics, manga, and anime. These visuals reflect how we perceive and remember life—not as a chronological sequence but as flashes of emotions preserved as vivid mental images. The dynamic compositions invite viewers to experience, reflect, and connect emotionally rather than passively observe.
On canvas, neon installations intertwine, visually conveying life’s continuous motion. Paintings seem to capture fleeting moments with striking neon strokes. Abstract works enriched with manga fragments merge like oversized pixels in a photograph, forming a mosaic of thoughts.
The artistic fusion of manga-inspired elements and ephemeral memories visually represents the act of capturing life's transient nature, creating a unique synthesis between comic art and fleeting moments.
Artist's Statement
Ankaa:
“My work is partially influenced by graffiti—a movement that is no longer new. However, my primary focus is making paintings dynamic rather than static. Life is ever-changing; nothing remains the same from one moment to the next.
My paintings are emotional dialogues with the viewer. Today, life moves at a relentless pace, driven by a massive flow of information. I believe modern people perceive the world differently from those who lived centuries ago. Each generation seeks new discoveries in every field, including art.
It’s long been proven that every color carries information. Some colors calm the mind, while others provoke intensity or even aggression. When working with color, I aim to connect emotions through hues, creating something both beautiful and meaningful.
Reason creates boundaries, while trust in oneself dissolves them. Without definitions, boundaries cannot exist. That’s why I choose to leave some of my works untitled—to avoid limiting the interpretation between myself and the viewer. Let everyone see something personal in them.
My paintings should be felt through the prism of emotion. When you think too much, you remain distant from the truth. When you feel, you merge with the present moment.”
