Mamontova Yulia is a contemporary Russian artist. Graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute. V.I.Surikova, improved her skills at the Central College of Art and Design of St. Martin in London and OTIS College of Art and Design (Los Angeles). Became "Artist of the Year" according to the International Women’s Time "Art & Business Awards 2019".
In her work, the artist Yulia Mamontova combines the best traditions of the classical Russian school of painting, ancient painting techniques with conceptual presentation. The study of the traditions of art of different countries, love for the historical heritage and life in all its manifestations, the continuous search for new images distinguish Julia among contemporary authors. Yulia Mamontova is the great-granddaughter of the Russian merchant Vasily Mamontov, who continued the family business of the 18th-19th centuries to trade and deliver goods from England to Arkhangelsk and the Urals along the Mezen River. She took the family name for a pseudonym, inspired by her family history.
