"POP UP MUSEUM - the" ark "of modern Russian art.

From 08.12.2017 to 08.12.2018 a new interesting project of modern Russian art will start. During this period, a temporary museum will be established on the sites of six atriums of the design business center Neo-Geo. The main goal of the project is the popularization of Russian contemporary art and the revival of philanthropy in Russia. The huge building of the Neo-Geo business center with an exhibition area of ​​2,000 square meters, like the once-biblical Noah's Ark, having taken on board many of the Floating survivors, has now absorbed 300 paintings and 100 Russian artists of all kinds directions in art. We can say that this project saves the domestic art from the "flood" of oblivion, without giving the real high art of Russia to sink in the summer.





Despite the annual existence of this museum, I can not say for sure how long it really is to "sail" this "ark" through the vast expanses of our life, who will reach the coveted "new land" and "step on it with a foot"? But I am sure that "under the recumbent stone - water does not flow" and in the modern world, and modern projects are needed, even for traditional Russian realistic art.





In our modern satiety, but not a homogeneous world, it is always very difficult to start something new. Among the established dogmas and, at times, apathy in society, ascetics arise, not indifferent to the preservation, popularization and augmentation of true values ​​in it. I would like to say a word of gratitude to all those who took part in the creation of this project, which just has to justify its right to exist. And, of course, my individual words of gratitude to a young, beautiful girl - Irina Nikolskaya, director of Nikolskaya Gallery, who has placed on her fragile shoulders such an unbearable burden of this project. However, I am sure - the "ark" in good hands! "
