Taras Stivkin was born in 1995 in Almetyevsk, Republic of Tatarstan.

After completing nine years of secondary school, he moved to Kazan and studied sculpture at the N. I. Feshin Kazan Art College. Upon graduation, he entered the Ilya Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where he successfully completed his studies in 2021. He is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Association of Moscow Sculptors.

In 2019, he received the Moscow Union of Artists Award for his work presented at the Youth-2019 exhibition. In 2020, he was awarded a grant from the Ministry of the Republic of Tatarstan to create a sculpture dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (TASSR). The work is part of the collection of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Stivkin works in various styles, ranging from academic realism to contemporary and conceptual art. He lives and works in Moscow.
