Artist, public figure, philanthropist Alexander Valeryevich Bushuev was born in 1965 in Leningrad in a family of young teachers. He spent his childhood in Pskov, then graduated from the Leningrad River School and from 1984 to 1992 worked in the Navy. He studied painting with Anatoly Elizarov, Dmitry Shagin and Andrei Filippov.
In 1999 he received an invitation to hold an exhibition in Olympia, Washington, USA, where he met with the famous Mitki. In 2000 he joined the creative association "Mitki". Since that time he participates in almost all exhibitions of "Mitkov" in Russia and abroad, he is actively exhibited personally. The artist's works are in museums (Pskov State Museum, Riga State Museum in Andriessel, Pushkin Museum of Pushkin, State St. Petersburg Museum "Tsarskoselskaya collection"), as well as in dozens of domestic and foreign private collections.
In his work, Alexander believes the main thing is not IZObrazhat, but to reflect the state of the current moment, sometimes awkwardly, but with love and great warmth. Trying to convey the kindness and touching of his objects, the artist completely forgets (even if he knew) the canonical techniques of painting, which, however, makes his works truly unique. Elemental, natural and simple are the key definitions for Bush's work. The artist seeks to reflect the world in a simple and open form, free from academic canons. That is why his works are so fond of exhibiting in European galleries and centers of contemporary art.
